Make sure your agency is set up and using the key social media networks professionally and effectively. Incorporate social media into your delivery strategy and get your message out to funders, decision makers, communities and service users. No previous knowledge required for this course: it is an enjoyable and stimulating ‘how- to’ of social media for nonprofits, from the ground up – make it work for you – join the conversation!
By the end of the day you will:
- Understand how to use social media to get your message across to specified individuals and groups effectively
- Set up, administer and integrate accounts with key social networking platforms, such as Twitter, Facebook , YouTube and LinkedIn
- Appreciate the advantages and disadvantages of engaging with the online community in order to increase your organisational profile
- Know how you could integrate social media into your delivery strategy
We will consider:
- Social media – what’s going on and why - when national charities, government departments and local authorities are using it you need to be getting in on the act too
- Setting up personalised and branded social media accounts and integrating them wherever possible
- Using real-life examples, how social media can be used for effective campaigning, fundraising, branding and awareness raising
- Tips and tricks, pitfalls and traps – how to make it work effectively
This course is aimed at anyone working in the non-profit sector interested in learning about social media, how to use it and how it can be integrated into a future-looking organisation interested in gaining every advantage it can.
