ARE YOU 2010 CONTRACT READY? Have you got your head around multiple matters and know what the LSC thinks about matter splitting in Welfare Benefits? Do you need to become ‘multi-disciplinary’ and open Welfare Benefits matters as well as NMS in your own subject category?
This course has been ENTIRELY RE-WRITTEN to take into account the transition from Welfare Benefits category casework under the Unified Contract to that under the 2010 Standard Contract. It relies heavily on conclusions drawn from Legal Services Commission audits and visits, especially where files with multiple matters for the same client were examined.

- Understand and apply the key General Provisions of both Contracts to Welfare Benefits and identify any adaptations you might need to make in preparation for 2010
- Be better able to justify matter splitting across different categories of law and ensure good practice within consortia
- Sleep easy, knowing that you crammed what you need to know about Welfare Benefits contract compliance in 2010 into one day, giving you more time to meet targets
